I have a plan. Admittedly it’s probably not a good one, but I figure it should be a bit of a giggle!

I do around 12,000 miles a year in my Celica. At an optimistic 25 miles to the (imperial) gallon, this is 480 gallons or 2,182 litres. At current prices for Shell V-Power (132.9p / litre) that’s two thousand nine hundred pounds on fuel alone!

The Celica needs new superstrut  components as well as a bit of bodywork doing and I don’t fancy giving it a go in the current weather, so I figure buying a cheap econobox diesel may well pay for the Celica maintenance.

I’m not sure if this will really be the case, but I figure it can’t hurt to try! The plan is to blog how I get on with both whatever car I end up with and also with the biodiesel process…
